PARENT NEWS:

  • Monday, Jan 26th, Culver’s will donate10% of sales for our school!  See enclosed flyer for details.
  • Next week is Catholic Schools Week, and it is a very important time for us. It gives us an opportunity to stop and truly reflect on Catholic education.  As staff, we feel very fortunate to be a part of the daily spiritual growth of the children.  The week will be filled with activities and dress-up days, because we want it to be one that is special in the eyes of the students.  Please see the enclosed flyer for all the other festivities for this special week.
  • On Thursday, January 29, Archbishop Flynn will lead us in worship at 8:20 in the church.  We invite you to be our special guests at Mass and/or invite others to join us, as well.  Everyone is invited to join us for donuts at school following the Mass.  Hopefully, Archbishop Flynn will visit, too!    
  • Calling all school volunteers! We will be recognizing and thanking our school volunteers on Thursday, January 29 during our all-school Mass.  Please join us for donuts at school, too!
  • Please see the important flyer regarding 3rd & 4the preschool.  Tell your friends!
  • Auction update: the donation deadline has been extended until Feb. 2. 
  • Athletic Pancake Breakfast on February 1st, please return any unsold tickets as soon as possible.  Proceeds from the breakfast will go toward athletic uniforms.  Thanks for your support!
  • Library volunteer needed: Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:30 – 2:30 from now until the end of the school year.  Please contact Kim Bobert, Librarian, (507.263.3672) with any questions or interest you may have.
  • The Family Fun Committee invites you to join us for the celebration of Catholic Schools Week.  Pizza, Open Gym, Movie and Popcorn will be enjoyed on Friday, January 30th at 5:30 pm at St. Dominic School.  If you are able to join us please RSVP by Monday, January 26th to Mark Borene at 507-650-4688 or email mborene@hotmail.com.
  • Books (and more) for Sale! Stop in the office and browse books for sale.  We will earn free books for every 9 items sold.
  • Jane Bartho will be out of the office from Wednesday, January 28th thru Tuesday, Feb 2nd

STUDENT NEWS:

  • KYMN radio will be interviewing students and Vicki one morning next week about Catholic Schools Week.  Be sure to tune in!
  • 7th Grade is hosting a bake sale along with the 3rd grade on Friday, January 30 at school.
  • Open Gym will be Saturdays from 9:30 – 11:00. St. Dominic students in grades 4 – 7 and their older siblings may participate.

LITURGY SCHEDULE:

  • Multiple grades will be coordinating Mass on Thursday, January 29 at 8:20 a.m.  This is Catholic Schools Week and being led by Archbishop Flynn. 
  • Students and their families have been asked to participate in the weekend Masses on January 24/25. Thank you in advance for your participation!
  • The 5th Grade class will be coordinating Mass on Thursday, February 2.
