PARENT NEWS:
- Conferences will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd and Thursday, March 5. Please look for your confirmed time and date inside the communication envelope this week.
- There is no school on Friday, February 27, as it is a Teacher Workshop day.
- Culver’s is offering another St. Dominic Special on Sunday, March 1. Ten percent of their proceeds will be donated to our school. Remember to place receipts into our containers at their restaurant!
- Enclosed is the Teacher’s Wish List and Group Events which have room for more participants. Please take some time to read it over. Thank you.
- Spring brings many opportunities for class field trips. Remember you need to have completed VIRTUS training before spending time volunteering with the students. Please plan ahead. You may register for training at www.virtus.org.
- Our Athletic Awards Ceremony is scheduled for Monday, March 9th at 6:30 pm in the O’Gara Social Hall. It is an event honoring all of our St. Dominic athletes which includes volleyball and basketball. All of our athletes and their families are invited to attend.
- Next school year, we are planning to split our 7th and 8th graders into two groups. Currently, they are a combined group in the morning and then go to the Middle School in the afternoon. Our plan is to have one group attend the Middle School in the morning and then come to St. Dominic in the afternoon. The other group would do the opposite. In recent years, the number of students did not support this model. However, the coming year’s projections do! This is very exciting news for our 7th and 8th grade program!
- Have you noticed the new Gym Entrance sign on the exterior gym door? We want to thank the Hauskins family for their donation of the sign.
- We would like to thank an anonymous school family for the donation of the new keyless entry system. This system has allowed our St. Watch parents a convenient pick up after hours and will increase the security of our school in general.

- Congratulations to Lorilee Malecha on the publication of her second book: Lively Literacy and Music Activities.
STUDENT NEWS:
- There will be two more open gym sessions on Saturday, February 28 and Saturday, March 7 from 9:30 – 11:00.
- Congratulations to Kate Wagner in first grade, on the birth of her new baby brother, Henry. He was born on Friday, February 13 to Matt and Megan Wagner.
