PARENT NEWS:

• The annual garage sale is scheduled for May 15 and 16.  Start saving items which are in good condition!  Look at the enclosed flyer for drop-off details.
• Volunteers are needed for spring clean up at the church and school this Saturday, April 25 at 8:00 am.  Please bring shovels, heavy duty rakes for the gardens, wheel barrows and hand held clippers if you have them.  Even if you have an hour to give, it would be greatly appreciated! 
• May Birthday Lunch will be May 6^th.  It is usually the 2^nd Wednesday, but it is a busy month.  Watch for your early invitation. Summer Birthdays will be celebrated Wednesday, May 20^th.
• Grandparents Day with a Talent Show will be Thursday, May 14, beginning at 8:20 Mass.
• The Spring Music Concert will be Thursday, April 30, at 7:00.  We plan to have a Spring Social following the concert, similar to the social which traditionally follows the Christmas Concert.  The 5^th grade class and their parents will be the class in charge of this (along with the PSA board members), and future Spring Socials.
• Please plan to bring in one dozen treats to the Spring Social on April 30. These will be served following the concert.  Thank you
• Our 20 % promotional year for Kwik Trip Gas/Gift Cards comes to an end May 29^th.  Please plan ahead.  If you can, stock up and let’s get the most out of the 20 % through May!  As of May 30^th, Kwik Trip will continue with 10 %, which is still a great fundraiser.  $10 and $20 cards make great graduation gifts!
• Culver’s will donate 10% of every receipt deposited this Sunday and the first and fourth Sundays now through June.  We are looking for two sets of parents/students to represent our school and help with 2 hours of service there:  11:30 – 1:30 and 5:30 – 7:30.  Those students volunteering will receive a concrete mixer for your time!  Please see Mrs. Bartho for details.
• Do you own your own business or offer a service others may find useful?  Are you trying to sell something or buy something from someone you know?  If so, please submit a card describing your service, business, need or sale item.  Watch for our soon-to-be created St. Dominic School family networking bulletin board and pin up a card!

STUDENT NEWS:

• D.A.R.E. Graduation is scheduled for Monday, April 27 at 1:30 in the cafeteria.
• Thanks to all of those who donated to, baked for, and chaperoned the lock-in Friday night.  It was a success!  The sixth graders (and the adults) had lots of safe fun!  We want to acknowledge the following businesses for donating or discounting their services:  Culver’s, Papa Murphy’s, Jesse James Lanes, Northfield Dance Academy.
• 7^th grade service project: Beginning April 27, there will be a plastic bottle cap collection.  Caps from pop and water bottles, shampoo containers, etc, will be collected in a box near the office and recycled.  Normally, these caps are thrown away, so this is a good opportunity to recycle!  The collection ends May 15^th.

LITURGY LEADERS:

• Mass will be led by the 1^st Grade class on April 30^th, and the 2^nd grade class on May 7^th.
