PARENT NEWS:
- Our All-School Picnic will be Thursday, May 28 on the school playground. Dad-volunteers are needed. Watch for more details in the weeks to come.
- Aquatic Fun Day is scheduled for June 2. Kindergarten– Grade 6 will spend the day at the Faribault Water Park. Preschool families are welcome to join us there!
- The annual garage sale is scheduled for May 15 and 16. Start saving items which are in good condition! Thanks to many of you who have signed up to help. There are still many more opportunities to help with the sale. Please complete and turn in your form.
- Summer Birthdays will be celebrated Wednesday, May 20th. Watch for your invitation.
- Grandparents’ Day with a Talent Show will be Thursday, May 14, beginning at 8:20 Mass. Be sure to tell your grandparents.
- Do you own your own business or offer a service others may find useful? Are you trying to sell something or buy something from someone you know? If so, please submit a card describing your service, business, need or sale item and place it onto the bulletin board at school.
- There is still room to sign up for the auction event: A Night Of ‘Sweet Jazz’ at the Hide Away. Saturday, May 16, from 7:30 – 10:00. For $25, each guest will enjoy music, beverages and appetizers. Please contact Joan Spaulding if you would like to go: 581- 6325.
- Kindergarten Buddy Day will be Friday, May 22, from 9:00 – 11:45. Invitations will go out in the mail.
- Our school has an AED – Automated External Defibrillator – thanks to a generous family donation. It is hanging near the gym doors.
STUDENT NEWS:
- 7th grade service project: Beginning April 27, there will be a plastic bottle cap collection. Caps from pop and water bottles, shampoo containers, etc, will be collected in a box near the office and recycled. Normally, these caps are thrown away, so this is a good opportunity to recycle! The collection ends May 15th.
NOTE FROM THE NURSE:
- Reminders due to the new flu concerns: 1) Wash your hands well and often; 2) cover cough with your elbow; 3) don’t chew on non-food items – pencils, fingers, etc; 4) avoid touching face (rubbing eyes, etc); 5) if you are sick, stay home!
LITURGY LEADERS:
- Mass will be led by multiple grades for Grandparent’s Day on May 14th.
- Mass will be led by the Kindergartners on May 21st.
