PARENT NEWS:
- There is no school tomorrow, Friday, November 7.
- A Parent Resource Cart of books is located in the hall near the trophy case. Please “check out” the new titles. The books are supplied by the Northfield Healthy Community Initiative. Enclosed you will find a listing of the titles.
- Sample many different wines, enjoy good food and fellowship at The Hide Away on November 18th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. All proceeds will be donated to the school: $25.00 per person. Owners Joan and Jim Spaulding are hosting the event. Please email Joan at jspaconsult@yahoo.com to sign up.
- Please be timely with St. Watch payments. Thank you.
- We received 3 truckloads of Smead paper products as a donation. Now we need a volunteer to sort products at church. Please contact the school at 645-8136 if you can help for an hour or 2.
- Thank you for your donations of coats for the 7th Grade Coat Drive! Five big boxes of coats were delivered to the Clothing Closet today.

- Donald’s has a uniform exchange credit. Bring used uniform items to Donald’s and receive a cash credit towards the purchase of the same value new uniform items. This exchange is effective November through March. For more information, contact the office.
- A Mexican Buffet, a St. Dominic Athletic Fundraiser, will be Tuesday, November 18 from 5:00 – 7:00 in the O’Gara Social Hall.
STUDENT NEWS:
- The-end-of-the-quarter popcorn party will be Friday, November 14th. Students may bring a beverage of their choice to enjoy with the popcorn at the party.
- The 7th Graders have begun another service project: A Thanksgiving Food Drive. It will begin November 10 and collect through November 25. They will accept canned and boxed foods. They will bring the food to the Community Action Center. Thank you.

- The Northfield Cannon Valley Lions sponsored a Peace Poster Contest with our 6th graders. Savings bonds were awarded to the top 3 contestants plus 5 merit awards. Congratulations to Amanda Stenzel for her first place poster. It will be entered into the district competition. Rachael Bartho and Sam Owens received 2nd and 3rd place respectively. The posters are displayed in the hall near the trophy case: Peace Begins With Me.

- Magazine Drive will be beginning November 12. Ask friends and family to save their subscriptions.
