PARENT NEWS:
- We are in need of a boy’s basketball coach for 4th and 5th grade. If you, or someone you know, might be interested, please contact Cathy Kowalewski at cathykowalewski@churchofstdeominic.org.
- Mexican Buffet tickets or the money from the tickets are due in the office tomorrow, Friday, November 14. Thank you! This helps in planning the meal.
- The Auction Committee is in need of a donation of enough frequent flyer miles for two tickets or a money donation for airfare for our Trip Raffle for the auction. This raffle is a very important part of our fundraising as it brings in $15,000.00 of our total auction money. Please contact Chris Fink if you can help: 507-664-9343. Thank you.
- The Athletic Committee continues to look for a basketball coach for our 4th and 5th grade boys. Please contact Cathy at cathykowalewski@churchofstdominic.org or call the school office.
- A Refereeing Clinic will be held at our school’s gym on Tuesday, December 2nd from 7 – 8 pm. This is for anyone interested in referring St. Dominic basketball games.
- A Parent Resource Cart of books is located in the hall near the trophy case. Please “check out” the new titles. The books are supplied by the Northfield Healthy Community Initiative
- One of last year’s auction group events has space for more participants: Sample many different wines, enjoy good food and fellowship at The Hide Away on November 18th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. All proceeds will be donated to the school: $25.00 per person. Please email Joan Spaulding at jspaconsult@yahoo.com to sign up.
- If you have a child playing basketball this season, please remember that siblings need a plan after school. Coaches are not responsible for the supervision of siblings. If you are interested in St. Watch for your after school needs, please call the school office.
- We received 3 truckloads of Smead paper products as a donation. Now we need a volunteer to sort products at church. Please contact the school at 645-8136 if you can help for an hour or 2.
- Magazine Drive kick-off began November 12. Ask friends and family to save their subscriptions. The first collection day is 11/19, the second is 11/25, the third and final collection day is 12/3. Please refer to your child’s magazine packet handed out today for all the details.
STUDENT NEWS:
- The 7th Graders have begun another service project: A Thanksgiving Food Drive. It will begin November 10 and collect through November 25. They will accept canned and boxed foods. They will bring the food to the Community Action Center. Thank you.

- A Mexican Buffet, a St. Dominic Athletic Fundraiser, will be Tuesday, November 18 from 5:00 – 7:00 in the O’Gara Social Hall.
